Labor Day Hiking Adventure

We went with our friends the Jensens for a little hike over the holidays. We packed a picnic and set off for a few hours of free peaceful entertainment. I love things like this because it reminds me so much of Hawaii...except it was much cooler! This was the first waterfall we got to but it was nothing compared to the one at the end of the hike!
These two are so cute. They were hiking ahead of us and when I caught up with them I could see that they were holding hands & Tanner was telling Kiali to be careful of the edge. He is always (well not always) so sweet. He even carried Makena's jacket when she got hot! This kid is such a gentleman...I think he will be sweet & kind like his dad. Perfect hike for kids! It took less than 30 minutes. No one complained that they were tired or anything...what troopers! The kids loved playing in the water by the falls where it wasn't flowing fast (it was way too cold for me to play in but they loved it.) Poor Kiali got a little wetter than she had planned but dad was sweet enough to give up his sweatshirt so she could warm up. The kids spent atleast an hour & half catching salimander (ewww) and climbing like billy goats up the side of the mountian. I can't believe how green this is! Munchin' on lunch These two didn't complain the whole time. They are such good babies! They loved the hike! The whole day ended even better! We went to Uncle Joe & Aunt Stacy's house for yummy ROOT BEER FLOATS!!! What a great way to end a holiday weekend!
